The aim of this study is to verify age and gender effects in children with and without Speech Sound Disorder (SSD) considering the Percentage of Correct Consonants Revised (PCC-R), Speech Inconsistency Index (SII) and Stimulability Tests. Participants were 130 children aged between 5:1 and 10:5 years old: 55 with SSD and 75 with speech and language typical development (TD). After diagnoses, PCC-R was calculated. SII was measured after three repetitions of 25 pictures in a picture naming task in different sequences presented in the same session. Stimulability test was assessed for each absent inventory sound. Results suggested that phonological programming is different according to age development and between gender. Oro-motor production is influenced by maturation in both boys and girls. Supported by CNPq 475468/2006-6 and FAPESP 06/56997-0; 08/57145-2
