|
In contrast to what is often viewed as a static, bottom-up concept of brain development as it links to specific emerging cognitive and linguistic functions that are localized to specific brain regions, this presentation presents an alternate view that portrays a dynamic and constantly changing interaction between brain and behavior. Data are presented that chart such emergent dynamic organizational links from birth into adolescence in both normal developing as well as impaired populations. |
